This is a friends and family event, so feel free to bring additional guests to join in on the fun. Just be sure to let James know so we can ensure there’s plenty of food.
We will be providing hot dogs, burgers, and extra snacks but please we invite everyone to bring their favourite picnic food for everybody to enjoy!
There is a list at the studio for everyone to write down what they’ll be bringing.
9-12am: Black Belt/Team Training on the Beach 12-1pm: FOOD! 1-3pm: Games, swimming, and enjoying the sun!Black belts and athletes need to be there by 9am, everyone else can arrive anytime after 10:30am.

Chocolate & Peanut Butter Keto No Bake Cookies

Creamy natural peanut butter
Pure vanilla extract
Unsweetened cocoa powder
Unsweetened coconut flakes
Non-slip mixing bowls
Non-stick silicone baking mat
Prepare a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a non-stick silicone baking mat.
TIP: We love these silicone baking mats because they’re non-stick and washable, so you can use them again and again!
In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, vanilla extract, melted butted, coconut flake and cocoa powder. Mix well by hand (the mixture will be gooey).
TIP: Feel free to add 1-2 teaspoons of Stevia if you like your cookies a little sweeter.
Scoop the no bake cookie batter onto your prepared baking sheet. Use the back of the spoon to gently shape each scoop into into a 3″ cookie.
It has been just over a week since our Mother’s Day High Tea and we are super excited to share some of the precious moments we were able to capture, thanks to Sweet Sunny Five Photography. We would like to thank, once again, everyone who helped out and contributed to our fundraiser. We were able to successfully raise another $1500 towards our kid’s trip to Japan in 2021, and we now sit at $3000.00 raised so far!
So thank-you again to: E.V.O Kitchen, Sweet Sunny Five Photography, Monigrams Coffee Roasters, Le Prix, The Spiced Leaf, Play with Clay, Glam and Glow by Reema, Meals Without Madness, Langdon Hall, and all of the individuals who donated amazing prizes for our participants to win. And another special thank-you to our families inside and outside the studio as well as our friends for helping with running the show (set-up and take-down)… and let’s not forget about the Volundads!! You guys rocked the show.
This month we would like to highlight Iain and Liam who have been participating with our martial arts program over the past four years, and since then have been involved with coaching as well as all of the other events we host here at the studio.
Especially lately they have been coming out and getting involved with our 12 Hour Cycle Relay, Team Training with Seiwa Kai Canada, and completing the CN Tower Climb for the World Wildlife Fund. Their involvement has helped us fundraise over $2000 in the past six weeks for both our trip to Japan in 2021 and for the World Wildlife Fund.
Their hard work and enthusiasm has not gone unrecognized and we would like to thank them for their efforts today.
